Add Cobrief to Microsoft Teams

  1. You connect Microsoft Teams by clicking "Settings" β†’ "Notifications" β†’ "Create new notification". Then click "Teams", and on the "Add Cobrief to Teams" button.

2. You will now be taken to Microsoft's Marketplace, where you add Cobrief to Teams. Alternatively, you can go straight to the Teams installation here.

3. Choose a channel for notifications. The next step is to get the link to the channel where you want to be notified. We generally recommend creating a dedicated channel called "Bids". This must be accessible to everyone (Standard permission).

4. Then copy the link to the channel by clicking the menu icon next to the channel.

5. Paste the link into the field below.

6. Test the notification

We recommend testing the notification to make sure everything works as expected. Also consider choosing to be notified when the competition is published, so you always stay up to date.

Cobrief will now notify you regularly in the selected Teams channel. Here you can also react or start a comment thread for each individual bid.

Administrator approval may be required. Some Teams applications require approval from your Microsoft 365 administrator before you can start using them. If you're told that access has to be approved, it means your organization has restrictions on which apps can be installed.

What do I do?

Send a request to your IT lead or administrator. Often a button will appear in Teams that lets you request approval directly. Alternatively, you can send an email with the name of the app and why you want to use it. Note that processing time can vary depending on internal routines for app access and security.
