Restore documents and previous versions
Cobrief saves versions of text documents you edit in the bid room. You can view earlier content and restore a saved version. If the whole text document has been deleted, you can bring it back from the bid room.
Find a previous version
Open the text document in the bid room.
Click the Version history clock icon at the top of the document.
Select a time in the list on the right. The content of that version appears on the left.
Select Current version to see the content currently in the document.
Versions are saved automatically as you work. The list contains saved versions, not every keystroke. A new document may therefore have an empty history.
Restore a version
Select the version you want to bring back.
Click Restore.
Read the confirmation and confirm the restore.
Restoring a version changes the document for everyone working in it. Check with your colleagues first if needed. The content that was current before the restore is saved in the version history.
Bring back a deleted text document
Open the document overview in the bid room.
Open the three-dot menu and select Restore documents.
Find the deleted text document and click Restore on its document card. The button only appears in the Cards view. If you're in List, switch to Cards first.
The document becomes visible in the bid room again. If it was in a folder, look in that folder.
Which documents does this apply to?
This guide applies to text documents edited in Cobrief's text editor. You need permission to work on bids to use these features.
Uploaded files, tender documents and fill-in templates do not have the same version history or the button for restoring deleted text documents. Upload the original file again if you have it. Contact customer support if you need help finding out what is missing.
