To delete your entire Cobrief account, contact us. The Delete User button in a workspace does something different: it removes the user's access to that workspace.
Remove a user from one workspace
An administrator can go to Settings → Manage Users and select Delete User for the person to be removed.
The user loses access to this workspace.
The login account itself is not deleted. Access to other workspaces is retained.
This does not delete all information about the person.
The workspace must have another administrator before the last administrator can be removed.
Agree on who will take over tasks and responsibilities before removing the user.
Reactivate a removed user
An administrator can enter the user's full email address in the search and invitation field under Manage Users. If no active users or invitations match the search, the removed user appears with an Activate button.
Select Activate to give the same user access again. Contact us if the user does not appear. This restores access to the workspace, but cannot restore an account that has been permanently deleted.
Request deletion of your entire account
You do not need to be an administrator to contact us about your own account.
Open Help in Cobrief and contact us in the chat. You can also reply to an email you have received from us.
Tell us you want to delete your entire account. Let us know if you use more than one workspace and whether you are an administrator.
We will help clarify your request, access and any subscription before deletion.
Account deletion applies to all workspaces associated with the account. Keep copies of any documents you need and agree on continued access with your colleagues first.
If you are the only user in a workspace, deleting your account may also result in the workspace being removed. Do not use account deletion as a way to transfer the workspace to a colleague.
What happens to information and subscriptions?
Account deletion does not mean that all information is deleted from all systems at the same time. Some information may be retained separately, such as records of consent. Ask us to clarify what will be deleted, what may be retained and when your request has been completed.
Deleting a user and cancelling a subscription are separate actions. If you have an active subscription, this must be clarified before the entire account is deleted. See Manage your Cobrief subscription.
Will my colleagues lose access?
Removing one user from a workspace does not remove your colleagues' users. When deleting an entire account, we also need to clarify administrator responsibilities and the subscription. Let a colleague take over the necessary access before requesting deletion.
