Cobrief is not limited to Norwegian tenders. If you want to follow tenders in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany or other EU countries, add those countries to your tender search. The alerts you have already set up carry over – there is nothing new to create.
Tenders from other countries cost nothing extra. Even on the free plan you can get email alerts about new tenders from across Europe.
Before you start
Decide which markets are relevant. Start with one or two countries rather than all of Europe at once.
Think about your keywords. Notices are published in the language of the country they come from, so a Norwegian keyword rarely matches a Swedish or German tender.
Coverage is strongest above the EU thresholds. Tenders above the thresholds must be announced across the entire EU. Below the thresholds, each country sets its own rules for what must be published, so coverage there is partial. See coverage per country.
Changes apply to the whole workspace. Only users with the Administrator role can change the tender search.
How to add countries to your tender alerts
Step 1: Open Search Overview
Click your company name in the bottom left and select Search Overview. You can also find it under Settings, in the Tender Search section.
Step 2: Choose the countries you want to follow
Go to Countries and locations and open Country. Tick the countries you want to follow, for example Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany or the Netherlands. The number in parentheses after each country shows how many active competitions we have there right now, so you can see immediately how much a new market adds.
At the bottom of the list you will find Other countries. That is the catch-all for buyers outside the EU and EFTA who still publish in Europe, such as EU-funded projects.
With no country selected, you get tenders from every country we cover. Once you select countries, you only get tenders and alerts from those.
Step 3: Adapt your keywords
Go to Keywords and review the terms you use. Add local variants of your most important terms for the markets you selected – for example "städtjänster" alongside "renholdstjenester" when you follow Sweden. The CPV codes are standardised across Europe and work across countries without any changes.
Step 4: Adjust the other filters
Review Place of performance, Contracting Authorities, tender phases and Relevance Score so the search captures what you can actually deliver. If you add new countries, remember to select regions in those countries too when you have narrowed the search to specific locations.
Step 5: Save your changes
Next to the save button you can see how many results the search returns. Use that number as an indication of whether the search is too broad or too narrow, then save. Your tender alerts use the updated search from the next send.
Without a workspace: save a search with email alerts
If you do not have a workspace, you can still follow tenders from across Europe:
Open Search in the left-hand menu.
Filter on the countries you want to follow, together with your keywords and other filters.
Click Save search.
Saved searches are personal and email you on weekdays at 07:00 when new tenders match. You can have up to 30 saved searches, so you can keep one for Norway and one for Sweden with their own keywords.
Tips for better matches
Start narrow. Add one market, see what comes in over the first few weeks, and expand from there.
Use separate searches per market. If Denmark needs different keywords than Norway, a separate saved search is usually tidier than mixing everything into one.
Clean up with the relevance score. If irrelevant tenders arrive from a new country, click the relevance score on the tender card and remove the code or keyword that caused the match.
